Good Afternoon Resident,

Tool theft can have a devastating impact on tradespeople, often preventing them from working and causing significant financial loss.

Thanks to funding from the Police & Crime Commissioner, our Neighbourhood Policing Team recently attended Parkers Building Supplies, where we handed out 18 free SelectaDNA Tool Marking kits to members of the public working in the trade industry.

Alongside the kits, we spoke to tradespeople about tool theft prevention and how forensic marking technology can help deter criminals and assist in identifying stolen property if it is recovered.

Simple steps, such as marking your tools, recording serial numbers and securing them properly, can make a real difference.
